Our Favorite Margarita Recipes

Everybody loves a good margarita! They’re cold, refreshing and delicious. These summer cocktails are perfect to enjoy inside or outside your home. The tequila kick will make you feel like you're vacationing on the beach in Mexico even when you’re not. 


Margaritas are quite easy to make for yourself, your friends and your family. 


Here at Dos Sueños, we’ve compiled a nice list of different types of margaritas that are sure to be big hits at your next fiesta. With these margarita recipes in hand, you are sure to be the king of happy hour! 

 


1) Classic Margarita

 

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • Simple Syrup to Taste
  • 1 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
  • Kosher Salt (for margarita glass rim)

This classic margarita recipe makes 1 serving (multiply the recipe for additional servings). Rim the margarita glass with lime and dip into kosher salt. Place the tequila, triple sec, simple syrup and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with a few pieces of ice and shake well. Open the shaker and pour into a Dos Sueños margarita glass with ice. Garnish with lime. Enjoy! 


2) Strawberry Margarita

 

  • 6 oz tequila 
  • 2 oz triple sec
  • 16 oz frozen strawberries
  • 4 oz frozen limeade concentrate
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Kosher Salt (for margarita glass rim)

This strawberry margarita recipe makes approximately 4 servings. Begin by rimming the Dos Sueños glass with lime and dipping in kosher salt. Place all ingredients inside of a blender and blend until it appears smooth. Salud! 


3) Mango Margarita

 

  • 3 cups of frozen mango cubes
  • ¼ cup of lime juice
  • 3 oz of your favorite blanco tequila
  • 2 oz cointreau
  • 3 handfuls of ice
  • Kosher Salt (for margarita glass rim)

This mango margarita recipe makes approximately 3-4 servings. Combine the ingredients in a blender and blend until it appears smooth. Add the ice until the consistency is right to your liking. Pour the mango cocktail into a Dos Sueños margarita glass that has been rimmed with kosher salt. Garnish with lime. Cheers! 


4) Jalapeno Margarita

 

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 lime (squeeze juice into the mixture)
  • ½ orange (squeeze juice into the mixture)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons agave nectar (add more if you like it sweeter)
  • ¼ to ½ jalapeno pepper (thinly cut round slices)

The serving size for this jalapeno margarita is one. Fill a cocktail shaker with a few pieces of ice and add the ingredients. Shake well for 20-30 seconds. Strain into kosher salt rimmed Dos Sueños margarita glass with ice and garnish with lime. Salud! 


5) Watermelon Margarita

 

  • 4 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 ¼ Cups Watermelon Juice
  • 2 oz Lime Juice
  • Kosher Salt (for margarita glass rim)

Pack the blender with cubed watermelon and blend until it looks like juice (you will have leftover juice for additional margaritas when needed). Add ingredients into a cocktail shaker with a few pieces of ice and shake for 20-30 seconds. Pour the contents of the shaker into a kosher salt rimmed Dos Sueños margarita glass with ice. Enjoy!

 

6) Pineapple Margarita

 

  • 2 oz tequila blanco
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • ¾ oz Cointreau
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • Kosher Salt (for margarita glass rim)

This pineapple margarita recipe yields one serving (multiply to make more). Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with a few pieces of ice and shake well for 20-30 seconds. Pour the margarita into a Dos Sueños margarita glass with ice. Garnish with pineapple. Salud! 


7) Banana Margarita 

 

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • ¾ cup banana liqueur
  • 4 oz of your favorite tequila blanco 
  • 2 oz triple sec
  • Ice Cubes
  • 2 large bananas

The banana margarita recipe makes approximately 2-3 servings. Combine all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Add ice until you have your desired consistency. Pour into a Dos Sueños margarita glass. Cheers!
